Math Enrichment Classes Start For Eastchester Students

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – The Teachers’ Institute of Lower Westchester is offering a 10-week math enrichment class for Eastchester Middle School students. The class has been quite popular since its inception two years ago. Sessions are from 3-4 p.m., after school, on most Thursdays.

Dates are Oct. 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30; Nov. 6, 13 and 20; and Dec. 4 and 11, with a makeup date set for Dec. 18. Classes will be in Eastchester Middle School, room 156, and students in grades six through eight are eligible to attend.

John Gibson, an Eastchester High School teacher, will lead the classes. Cost is $160 and registration is required. Only 15 students will be admitted.

 A processing fee of $25.00 will apply to all refunds issued before the first session. If a refund is requested while the program is in session, the fee will be prorated by sessions and a processing fee of $25.00 will be charged if the student van be replaced with another student. If there is not another student to fill the place, there will be no refunds given once the class has started.
