TUCKAHOE, N.Y. -- The kids at Camp Rainbow rocked the house Thursday morning with their annual camp show.
Camp Director Anita Alonci beamed at the sight of her 76 campers, who sang and danced for family and friends.
The camp, run by the Town of Eastchester for pre-kindergarten to second graders, is held at Immaculate Conception School in Tuckahoe.
Staffed with 30 counselors, the program is half-day and features arts and crafts, play time and sports.
The kids sang and danced on staged, but most of them were looking to the right or to the left, watching their counselors following the dance moves.
The Town of Eastchester runs four camps each summer - Camp Rainbow, two Camp Galaxy programs for children from first grade to sixth grade and the Quest camp for seventh, eighth and ninth graders. The camps service about 700 kids total, said Recreation Director Sally Veltidi.
Next week the children from Camp Galaxy will hold their camp shows on Friday at 9 am and 1 pm at Anne Hutch School.
