Beginning on Monday, a damaged portion of the Park Avenue brick road – between Wellington Circle and Tanglewylde Avenue – is scheduled to be restored, with construction work on Tanglewylde to add additional drainage where the road approaches Midland Avenue.
The project will begin early on Monday morning, and is expected to last approximately two months. Following the completion of the initial project, the contractors who were awarded the bid will commence the reconstruction of Park Avenue.
According to Bronxville Village Administrator James Palmer, “as a result of this work, it will be necessary to have a limited amount of material and equipment stored along Tanglewylde and Park Avenue.”
Palmer warned that at times during the construction and renovation, traffic may have to be limited in the area, and will be monitored closely. He offered his direct phone number to any residents who experience any difficulties or frustration as part of the work. He can be reached by phone at (914) 793-0721 or by email at JPalmer@vobny.com.
“The village will ensure that the contractor, Tony Casale, Inc. maintains the area in a neat and safe manner throughout the project and fully restores the area upon its completion,” he said. “Do not hesitate to contact me directly should have you have any additional questions regarding the project.”
