BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Bronxville Women’s Club is currently looking for artists’ contributions for their annual photography and art competition next month.
The art showcase is part of the Westchester County Federation of Women’s Clubs’ Beaux Arts competition that is held each year around the county. The project has been a county staple since 1946.
The competition is open to any professional or amateur artist in Westchester County ages 18 and up. The deadline for registration is April 1. Those interested in participating in the show can register online or pick an application from the Women’s Club.
There will be several categories for artists this year, including oil or acrylic paintings, portrait, graphics, photography, sculpture and pastels.
The exhibitions offer county artists the chance to display their talent and receive recognition for their work. It also enhances awareness of the local arts scene.
First place winners from each of the participating clubs will advance to the Beaux Arts Finale at the end of the season. This year’s finale will be held in Katonah.
Proceeds from the Beaux Arts Project benefits the Federation’s Scholarship Fund for students attending the Westchester Community College.
