BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The following businesses and government offices will be closed Monday in observance of Columbus Day:

The Bronxville Public Library, 201 Pondfield Road, will be closed.

The Bronxville School, 177 Pondfield Road, will be closed.

The Bronxville Public Works Department, 200 Pondfield Road, will be closed. There will be not be any curbside collection of garbage.

Bronxville Town Hall, 200 Pondfield Road, will be closed.

The Bronxville post office, 119 Pondfield Road, will be closed.

Bronxville banks will be open normal hours.

Metro-North Railroad will follow a normal weekday schedule.

All regular parking regulations will be in effect.

GREENBURGH, N.Y. - Two lanes southbound on the Saw Mill River Parkway were blocked Tuesday evening due to a multiple car accident on just south of Exit 20 near the I-287 in Elmsford.

The right lanes in both northbound and southbound directions of the parkway were closed around 5 p.m. with emergency vehicles on the scene.

WESTCHESTER, N.Y. - The National Weather Service posted a thunderstorm warning for southern Westchester County at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday.

The storms could be accompanied by lightning, hail and high winds of up to 50 mph, the weather service said.

Bacteria ID'd As Cause Of Westchester Food Event Illnesses

VALHALLA, N.Y. – The bacteria that sickened some festival-goers who attended Westchester’s Burger and Beer Bash at Kensico Dam in Valhalla earlier this month has been identified as Campylobacter, the county department of health announced Monday.
