BRONXVILLE, N,Y, -- If you see Bronxville High School boys walking around town today dressed in field hockey skirts, that's because it is team uniform switch day. Bronxville high school kids have been showing school spirit all week by dressing in school colors and on Wednesday some even dressed like a Bronco.
On Thursday at 7:30 p.m., all varsity teams will participate in a parade, which begins in the Elementary School parking lot. Immediately following will be the traditional bonfire held at the Hayes practice field. Homecoming weekend officially begins on Friday at 2 p.m. with a pep rally at Chambers Field.
All varsity and JV teams will be competing this weekend. The Girls Varsity Swim Team will compete against Eastchester High School at 4:30 p.m. at Sarah Lawrence College pool. The Girls JV Soccer team will also compete against Eastchester High at 4:30 p.m. in Eastchester. The Boys JV soccer Team will take on Hastings at home at 4:15 p.m.
The Boys Varsity Soccer team will have its homecoming at 6 p.m. playing Hastings. The Girls Varsity Soccer team will start its game at 8 p.m. taking on Eastchester High School at home in Bronxville.
On Saturday, the JV Football team kicks off the day at 9:30 a.m. taking on Putnam Valley High School at home in Bronxville. Girls JV soccer is scheduled to play at 2 p.m. but its opponent was to be announced.
At 2 p.m. the JV Field Hockey team will play at home against John Jay High School. At 4 p.m. the Varsity Field Hockey team will take on John Jay's Varsity team, also at home.
The Varsity Football game starts at 7 p.m. The undefeated Broncos will take on an undefeated Pearl River team.
