Bronxville Announces Parking Regulation Updates, Permit News

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Village of Bronxville has re-designated parking space in the Kraft Avenue lot to make up for the overflow of commuter parking due to the closing of the Lower Kensington parking lot.

New parking rules are going into effect in the Kraft Avenue lot.

All former public parking and undesignated parking in the Kraft Avenue lot has been reallocated for Resident Permit parking only. Residents who have basic Resident Permits may park in the resident sections of the Kraft Avenue Lot and use the meters.

Residents with prepaid commuter permits may park in the resident section of the Kraft Avenue lot without using the meter or they may park in the Avalon Lot.

The purchase of a commuter buyout permit does not guarantee that there will be space available as all meters in the commuter parking area will remain on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no grace period for commuter buyouts; permits must be placed on vehicles by Wednesday, Oct.1 or drivers will need to use the meter.

There will be a two-week grace period for placing new resident permits on vehicles as long as the prior year’s permit is displayed.

If replacing a permit, the original permit should be returned to the parking office in Village Hall, where a replacement will be issued for $5. If the original decal is not returned, full price will be charged for its replacement.

If you need a temporary permit, call 914-337-6500. To report a meter problem, call 914-337-0500.
