Alert For Missing Hudson Valley Man Canceled

The New York State Missing Vulnerable Adult Alert for 65-year-old Middletown resident Charles Otero has been canceled, authorities said.

A New York State Missing Vulnerable Adult Alert has been issued relating to the disappearance of a 65-year-old Hudson Valley man.

Affected counties in the alert are Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Rockland, Orange, Columbia, Greene, Sullivan and Ulster.

The missing person is Charles Otero of Middletown, who has Alzheimer's disease and diabetes and may be in need of medical attention. He was last seen at 4:20 a.m. on Sunday.

Otero is a 5-foot-7, 190-pound white mail with brown hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen on West Main Street in Middletown and was driving a 2009 blue Chevrolet Suburban with New York plates AFZ-7860. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a green shirt, a brown hat, glasses and sandals.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should immediately call the Middletown City Police Department at (845) 343-3151 or 911.
