NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Jordan Cole saw "Les Miserables" when it was on Broadway when he was 7-years-old and walked out of the theater telling his parents that one day, he wanted to be the street urchin, Gavroche.

Now, at 10, the New Rochelle resident, whose real name is Jordan Feigenbaum, is getting his wish.

After touring as Michael Llewelyn Davies in "Finding Neverland" -- his first big role outside of local theater -- he 's now set to play his dream role in the upcoming Broadway tour of Les Miz.

He and another boy will alternate in the role.

The adventure, according to his mom, Danielle, begins mid-September when Jordan travels to Rhode Island. He'll be going with a chaperone as both Danielle and her husband work full-time.

The good news, she said, is that family and friends will have lots of opportunities to see him because the tour is going through many drivable cities over the first six months (i.e. Providence, Hartford, DC, Philadelphia, and Schenectady).

The role --and the play -- have special significance to the family. Danielle and her husband have seen the Broadway show at least 12 times and even walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of one of the songs.

"Our kids have been listening to the music since they were in the womb," she said.

Jordan's rise to fame happened, as some Broadway stories go, by happenstance when he began taking acting classes a few years ago at Applause in Mamaroneck. One day, the youngster was among those that performed for an agent who came in for the day. The agent liked Jordan and the family kept in touch with him over the next year or so.

Fast forward to December 2015 when Jordan, then a third-grader at New Rochelle's Davis School, played Gavroche in "Les Miserables" at Mamaroneck's Sandbox Theater. That's when the family sent a video of Jordan's performance to the agent.

Not more than 24 hours later he was on the phone with the Feigenbaum's saying he wanted to represent Jordan. The youngster landed the role of Michael Llewelyn Davies (the youngest of the four brothers who inspired JM Barrie to write "Peter Pan") a few months later.

"We are extremely proud of Jordan for accomplishing so much in the past few years and working so hard to achieve his dreams," said Danielle.

"Being in shows like "Finding Neverland" and "Les Miserables" requires dedication, focus, lots of long hours and following direction. He's handled this exciting roller coaster ride like a seasoned professional and is having the time of his life traveling and performing to thousands of people each night."

Jordan heads to Providence, RI on Sunday, Sept. 10; the tour starts at the Providence Performing Arts Center on Sept. 21.  For tickets and additional tour dates as well as a sneak peek, go to www.LesMiz.com .
