Dorothy Johnson’s advanced art studio students and Rachel Sydlowski's portfolio prep students studied with painter Leah Lopez to compose observational still-life oil paintings.
Lopez urged students to focus on achieving the illusion of objects in space and to utilize a variety of surface textures in oil paint. As an extension of the experience, Patrick Perry's students photographed the still-life arrangements using digital photography.
This exhibit is for one night only. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The concert starts at 7 p.m. There will be light food served and beverages available for purchase from the Eastchester Music Boosters.
