This week, volunteers began accepting donation for the Junior League of Bronxville’s Holiday Winter Coat and Gloves Drive, which will benefit the soup kitchen at the Community Service Associates in Mount Vernon.

Gently used winter coats and new pairs of gloves for men, women and children can be dropped off at several Bronxville, Eastchester, Tuckahoe and Mount Vernon locations through Thursday Dec. 10. Donations will be kept at Westy Self Storage in Tuckahoe until the annual holiday party at Community Service Associates.

Donations can be delivered to the following locations:

  • Bronxville Montessori School
  • Bronxville Public Library
  • Bronxville Lower School
  • Bronxville Village Hall
  • Eliza Corwin Frost
  • Gramatan Court
  • May Flower Gardens in Mount Vernon.
  • Purre Barre in Bronxville.
  • Westy’s Self Storage
  • Yoga Haven

“Last year, more than 800 coats and nearly 350 pairs of gloves were collected on (Community Service Associates’) behalf,” Junior League President Sheridan Denfeld said. “This would not have been possible without the community’s help.”
