The JLB provides opportunities for its members to make sustainable improvements within their community, while building friendships through the league’s supportive and social environment. As a JLB volunteer, members will be part of the JLB’s mission to promote voluntarism, develop the potential of women and improve communities. The JLB has several outreach programs such as The Food Bank for Westchester’s Kraft Mobile Food Pantry, Kids in the Kitchen and relationships with many community organizations such as Groundwork Hudson Valley, Westhab and large fundraising events that include the JLB’s Touch-A-Truck Event in Tuckahoe.

The JLB's purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. For those women interested in becoming new members, the JLB will host two informational social events. Each social event will offer the opportunity to learn more about direct involvement within the community, leadership training and skill development obtained through the league and will provide an opportunity to meet current members and learn about the requirements for prospective new members.

Join the events in Bronxville for cocktails on Thursday, Jan. 15, at 7 p.m. or warm conversation and coffee on Tuesday, Jan. 20, at 9 a.m.

Joining the Junior League is a way to hone civic leadership skills, improve the community and have fun with like-minded women. The Junior League of Bronxville has been an active and vocal women’s volunteer organization in southern Westchester since 1948. Dedicated to fighting hunger and improving nutrition in the service areas of Bronxville, Eastchester, Mount Vernon, Tuckahoe and Yonkers, JLB members donate over 17,000 hours of community service annually and work alongside hosts of community programs and agencies. Through their charitable work, JLB members donate over $600,000 worth of volunteer salaries. If you are interested in attending either informational social, email your contact information to membership@jlbronxville.org to receive an invitation and specify which date you’d like to attend.
