The event benefits participants in programs run by Community Service Associates (CSA) of Mount Vernon.

The drive started on Monday, Nov. 3 and ended on Thursday, Dec. 11. The Junior League had been collecting donations from the community at drop-off locations in Bronxville, Tuckahoe, Eastchester, Mount Vernon and beyond.

CubeSmart of Tuckahoe donated a storage cubicle throughout the drive and some 16 civic, commercial and retail partners were collection points.

“This year JLB volunteers collected an unprecedented number of coats.  We are thankful to the community for their generous donations and to the local businesses who helped by allowing us to use their stores as coat collection points,” said JLB president Erica Sevilla.

“This event is anticipated each year by the CSA community and highlights the holidays and the giving spirit of the season. The JLB and CSA are grateful to all who donated this year and every year,” added CSA Executive Director Roberta Apuzzo,.
