David Zimmerman of the Eastchester Tuckahoe Lions Club visited fourth-graders at Greenvale and Anne Hutchinson Schools, giving out free sapling trees for students to plant at home.

It's part of an international program from the Lions Club, which along with partners and volunteers, has planted more than eight million trees worldwide.

The aim for the program is to teach the importance of caring for the environment and communities everywhere.
