Bronxville's Marlene Buckley, 76, Honored Monday

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - Marlene Buckley, of Bronxville, died Dec. 11 at Calvary Hospital in Bronx, N.Y. She was 76. 

The daughter of John and Mary Kennedy Buckley, she grew up in the Bronx. For over 30 years, she lived in Bronxville. Buckley had an extensive career in education as a teacher and school administrator at DeWitt Clinton High School in Bronx, N.Y., where she was an assistant principal and chair of the English department. 

She enjoyed traveling, attending theater and cultural events and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by several cousins and a nephew. The family will receive visitors from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday at McGrath & Son Funeral Home. A memorial mass will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday at St. Joseph's Church in Bronxville.
