BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- The Chapel School in Bronxville has been named an official Charity Partner of the 2016 TCS New York City Marathon.
To join "Team Chapel" runners of every skill level are encouraged to submit their application for consideration.
If chosen each runner has a guaranteed spot in the marathon.
Those already registered for the 2016 TCS New York City Marathon may join Team Chapel.
Team Chapel raises money for the Chapel School Scholarship Fund.
"Team Chapel is thrilled to partner with the TCS New York City Marathon as an official charity partner,” said Kim Zwisdak, Development Office Project Manager at The Chapel School.
“The TCS New York City Marathon provides a powerful platform for our passionate charity runners to fundraise and raise awareness for causes that are close to their hearts. We are looking forward to supporting our runners throughout their memorable journeys as they train for, and ultimately achieve their goal of completing this race, all while raising critical funds which benefit The Chapel School’s Scholarship Fund," she said.
The Team Coach and Senior Pastor of the Church and School, the Rev. Dr. Robert Hartwell, helped form the charity run several years ago.
Over 40 runners have been a part of Team Chapel with over $107,000 raised to date.

All the money participants raise goes towards The Chapel School Scholarship Fund.
The minimum fundraising level is $3000.00.
Participants will get a fundraising web page and assistance, guaranteed entry, gear pack, car service to the ferry on race day and team support and camaraderie.
