Lauren Giacalone, of Bronxville, along with 10 other SUNY Oneonta students, recently participated in the National Student Advertising Competition, according to a press release from the college.

This year’s competition, held in New York City, was sponsored by the American Advertising Federation.

Giacalone and other team members presented their "Rewardingly Simple" campaign to help increase online orders for Pizza Hut.

"I am so proud of my team for creating a 25-page campaign strategy and preparing a memorized 20-minute presentation, all while tackling their regular classes," Jessica Kemmerling, president of the SUNY Oneonta chapter of the American Advertising Federation, said in a press release.

"With such a small group of dedicated members and a limited budget, we really held our own and represented the SUNY system with confidence and grace."
