Bronxville Parishioner, Eugene Kelly Dies at 88

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Bronxville parishioner Eugene E. Kelly, 88, died March 16. 

Born in Holyoke, Mass. in 1923, he graduated from Amherst College and received a master's degree in literature from Columbia University. A resident of Yonkers, Kelly was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph's Parish in Bronxville. There, he was a member of the men's club, parish council and school coach.

During World War II, Kelly served as second lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He married Joyce Moore in April 1950 and enjoyed a long and successful career on Wall Street. Kelly enjoyed the arts and music, playing golf and the company of his family.

Kelly is survived by his wife Joyce, his sons Robert and Mark Kelly, his daughter Betsy Levenson and three grandchildren.

Calling hours are from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at Fred H. McGrath and Son Funeral Home in Bronxville. The funeral mass will take place at 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Joseph's Church.
