BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Several volunteers got their hands dirty at the Bronxville Nature Preserve, pruning, planting and picking up branches at the annual spring cleanup.
Volunteers joined members of the Preserve’s Steering Committee to spruce up the 2-acre site at the corner of Crawford and Archer Road.
Gary Reetz, Wright Elliott, John Morris and Carlo Vittorini trimmed and planted forsythia shrubs along the perimeter of the grounds while others, including Vicki Ford, Bill Fredericks and the Redican family, picked up branches, brambles, tree limbs and litter. Several other volunteers and members did a variety of other odd jobs around the site, cleaning it up and preparing it for visitors.
