The 11-year-old toured all the facilities and spent the day at Mayor Mary Marvin's side. Behind the scenes highlights included a tour of the Police Department with Chief Christopher Satriale, a Department of Public Works walk-through with Trustee Anne Poorman and attendance at an arraignment.

Michael asked probing questions of Marvin, Satriale and Poorman such as the scariest moment in their tenure, the most challenging experience and contemplating whether a DPW garage upgrade was economically worthwhile.

Additionally, Michael was most curious to know if Bronxville's jail cells had been altered since his second grade field trip.

The tour was a successful experience for all involved, including the pizza lunch with Marvin.

"Village officials hope that Michael Burstein considers public servic," the mayor's office said in statement. "He is a natural."
