Westchester's Jeffrey Tambor To Receive Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star

CROSS RIVER, N.Y -- Cross River resident Jeffrey Tambor will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday, Aug. 8.

The event will be livestreamed on www.walkoffame.com starting at 11:30 Pacific Standard Time.

Tambor is known for his roles on the television comedies "The Larry Sanders Show," "Arrested Development" and "Transparent," the latter of which has won him Emmy's as outstanding lead actor in a comedy series in 2015 and 2016. He is nominated again for that role -- as retired college professor Mort Pfefferman who comes out as transgender. WInners will be announced at the Sept. 17 Primetime Emmys.

The actor's long career also includes roles in the 1986 ABC comedy "Mr. Sunshine''; a recurring role on the 1981-87 NBC police drama "Hill Street Blues"; and guest-starring appearances on "M.A.S.H." "Taxi," "The Golden Girls" and "Murder, She Wrote."

He's also been in films such as "And Justice for All," "Meet Joe Black," "There's Something About Mary," "City Slickers," "Miss Congeniality," and all three "The Hangover" movies.

Tambor was recently at Little Joe's Books in Katonah to sign copies of his new memoir, "Are You Anybody?"
