Who Has the Best Burger in Westchester?
- Buns-N-Bourbon, Peekskill
- The Blazer Pub, North Salem
- Squires, Briarcliff Manor
- Valhalla Crossing, Valhalla
- Westchester Burger Company, White Plains, Rye Brook, Mount Kisco
We asked for your top picks in the county; five finalists are in the running and have been profiled this week.
Who will win? It’s up to you, so let your fingers do the clicking. Voting ends 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 28. You can vote multiple times, albeit once per day.
What Makes It Patty Perfect: Even despite the car crash that hit it earlier in the week (see previous Daily Voice story HERE), Squires is the worst-kept secret in Briarcliff. Tucked into the corner of a tiny strip mall, it's beloved by locals for its simple fare and hand-formed 8-ounce patty, cooked perfectly to order.
The more adventurous might want to try its Bavarian Burger, made with ham, Swiss cheese, and grain mustard on a pretzel roll or the North State Burger with brie, roasted red peppers and frizzled onions on a brioche bun. But lots of folks also go for the Cheese Supreme, which is topped with melted American, Swiss, cheddar, and mozzarella cheeses. It is also said that their sweet potato fries are to die for.
