The students hosted a Wellness Fair in Marian Woods' recreation room and provided experiential exercises such as yoga, meditation, and breathing. At one point, Antonietta Dalia led the group in the exercise of repeating a word or phrase, prayer or chant. Marian Woods resident Sister Rhea Bean remarked, “It must be working. I feel sleepy.”

Noticing that only half of students were nursing majors, Sister Rhea asked the students if they were there as part of an elective course. Meaghan Biggs, a Criminal Justice major explained that it was. “I chose this course because I wanted personal techniques to manage my own stress and have these techniques to help with the stresses of my future career.”

Sister Marlene Brownett spoke to the students and explained the benefit of of practicing calming exercises such as yoga, meditation and breath work. She was excited that students were learning and applying these techniques, since young people now have access to so much at the touch of a button. Dubbing the group "the Pacers," Sister Marlene said the students will now be included in daily prayer offerings.
