For Pat Cipollone, Studio Manager and owner of the new studio at 16 Columbus Ave. in Tuckahoe, art has always been part of his life. "From a young age my first love has alway been art." he said. His passion for drawing and painting eventually progressed into an interest in photography and video, where Cipollone ultimately made a living for 25 years as a video editor. Seeking a chance to get back to his roots, find a break from electronic media, and get back to working with his hands, he jumped at the chance to open a Pinot's in lower Westchester.

"A little over a year ago my sister went to a painting session in Staten Island and recommended I try it out," he said. "I went to my own class in Stamford and had an incredible time." Already contemplating a career change, he though "I have to look into this; this would be something great for me to get into." The rest is history.

A New Rochelle resident of nearly 25 years and father of two grown sons, Cipollone was seeking a location in lower Westchester and found a match in Tuckahoe. "I saw they were renovating the plaza and really liked that the location was near the train station. It just felt like this was a nice little area, to be" he said.

While the opening of a new business in town can sometimes spell competition, he believes a paint studio like Pinot's Palette can be a unifying point. "What a business like Pinot's does is it revitalizes an area and keeps things fresh. We complement the other businesses in the area as well; people will go out to eat or bring food into our studio and it create a nice symbiotic relationship with other businesses."

For first time painters, Cipollone says all that's required to have a good time is an open mind and a willingness to have fun. “When you come to a Pinot’s, we’ll take care you. Our studio is built from the ground up to make your painting experience as comfortable as possible, with special lighting, a professional sound system and a great painting selection. A local artist will take you step by step though your painting and at the end of the day you can create your very own masterpiece, something you want to be proud of.”
