On Monday, water service was temporarily discontinued in the area of White Plains Road near Elm Rock Road as SUEZ made system improvements. The work began at approximately 9 a.m. and was expected to last several hours. Following the work, some residents may experience low water pressure and discolored water.

In an effort to avoid flooding, residents have been asked to ensure that all faucets are in the off position, which could lead to a high risk for flooding as the water main is reactivated.

Temporary water service will not be available, and customers have been advised to draw water for their needs. If any additional information is required, Planning Supervisor Pierce Chin can be contacted at (914) 637-5334.
