BRONXVILLE, N.Y. There are a variety of events around Eastchester this week. The Eastchester all-star little league teams are being celebrated at the Town Board meeting, and the Tuckahoe Public Library is hosting a memoir writing workshop. Tuesday, Sept. 4
Concordia Story time: 1:30-2:30 p.m. A music, art and literature presentation using classic songs and tales. Presenters will be Kathleen Suss, executive director, and Elizabeth Levine, art program director of Concordia Conservatory of Music and Art. 201 Pondfield Road, Bronxville.
Kids crafts: 4 p.m. The Tuckahoe Public Library will host an afternoon of crafts for children ages 5-10. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.
Childbirth class: 7:30 p.m. Lawrence Hospital is offering childbirth classes for expectant parents. Parents can attend class on three consecutive Tuesdays or complete the entire session on a single Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The class costs $200 per couple. 55 Palmer Ave., Bronxville.
Town Board meeting: 8 p.m. The board will be honoring the Eastchester All-Star softball and baseball teams that won District 20. 40 Mill Road, Eastchester.
Photography show: 9 p.m. There will be a photography show by Westchester resident Robert Uricchio in the community room of the Eastchester Public Library. Approximately 30 landscape images will be on display. 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester.
Wednesday, Sept. 5
Pre-school story time registration: 9 a.m. Pre-school story time is for children ages 3 and 4. Proof of age is required. Bring the childs birth certificate. 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester.
Writing workshop: 3:30-5:30 p.m. The Tuckahoe Public Library is hosting a workshop to help teens improve their writing ability. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.
Thursday, Sept. 6
Memoir Workshop: Noon. A writing workshop at the Tuckahoe Public Library will teach residents how to write their memoirs. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.
