What's Happening Around Bronxville This Weekend

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – There will be no shortage of things to do around Eastchester this weekend. The Tuckahoe Public Library will end its summer reading program with a magic show, and the Bronxville Library will screen anime for students on Saturday. Friday, Aug. 17

Tai Chi: 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. There will be an introductory Tai Chi class hosted by Master Domingo Colon. Trial classes are $25. Call 914-337-3339 to RSVP or e-mail sifu@taichischool.com. Hosted at the West Center Congregational Church. 101 Pondfield Road, Bronxville.

Magic show: 11 a.m. The Tuckahoe Public Library will end its summer reading program with a magic show for kids and parents. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.

Film series: 1 p.m. The Eastchester Public Library will continue its summer film series with “The Way,” starring Martin Sheen. 11 Oakridge Place., Eastchester.

Family film: 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Bronxville Public Library will screen "Durango Kids," a film about four kids who journey back in time in search of lost gold. Run time is 91 minutes. 201 Pondfield Road, Bronxville.

Saturday, Aug. 18

LEGO Club: Play with the popular building blocks at the Bronxville Public Library. Available for children aged 5 and older. 201 Pondfield Road, Bronxville. 

Anime Club: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Bronxville Public Library will screen different anime shows as part of its monthly program. Open to students in sixth-grade and older. 201 Pondfield Road, Bronxville.

Saturday worship: 5:30 p.m. The Village Lutheran Church in Bronxville will have a Saturday evening Mass. 172 White Plains Road, Bronxville. 

Sunday, Aug. 19

Worship service: 10 a.m. The Holy Eucharist will be followed by a coffee hour at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. 98 Stewart Ave., Eastchester.

Otis Day and the Knights: 7:30 p.m. Curbside Hustle will join Otis Day and the Knights for a concert at Yonkers Raceway. $15-$40. 810 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers.
