Superintendent’s Reading Challenge Fundraiser Scheduled At B&N Eastchester

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- The Mount Vernon City School District and the Mount Vernon PTA Council will host the Superintendent’s Reading Challenge Fundraiser on Monday, March 13, at Barnes & Noble of Eastchester in the Vernon Hills Shopping Center in Scarsdale.

Tickets are $75 per person in advance and $100 per person at the door. The event will include a celebrity guest and a silent auction. Hors d’oeuvres and either a glass of wine or beer are included.

Tickets are available at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2888960 and at the Board of Education, 165 N. Columbus Ave., Mount Vernon, NY 10553. Checks can be made payable to MV PTA Council.

Store Manager Kathie Bannon said, “The partnership with the Mount Vernon City School District embodies the core values of Barnes & Noble – community outreach and literacy. We are thrilled to host what I know will be a successful book fair and fundraiser.

The event will be from from 5 to 8 p.m.
