The Bronxville PTA leadership and the Bronxville Chamber of Commerce campaign to promote holiday spending and celebrate the holiday season is called “Bronxville Hometown Holiday." Its organizers plan to roll out this event annually.
“The majority of our businesses are independently owned stores, restaurants, and service providers whose distinctive offerings and high-end customer service help create a vibrant and destination-worthy business district,” said Susan Miele, executive director, Bronxville Chamber of Commerce.
The free festivities include a holiday tree-lighting event, Santa’s Workshop, Holiday Happy Hour, an appearance by Frosty the Snowman, student window-decorating contest, and free-parking days.
The schedule is as follows:
Friday, Dec. 4 from 5 to 5:30 p.m.: Bronxville Hometown Holiday Tree-Lighting Celebration. Features include Frosty the Snowman, carolers and Santa's Workshop.
Santa's Workshop will run Friday, Dec. 4 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Then on Saturday, from 3 to 5 p.m., there will be a Holiday Happy Hour with participating businesses offering in-store specials and complimentary refreshments.
Parking will be free Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. in the lots at Garden Avenue, Kraft Avenue and Avalon.
