Teams will compete by answering trivia questions based on five different books.

Students entering grades four through six or six through nine (in September 2015) can join the Bronxville Library's team. The team must have at least three members. The maximum number of team members allowed to participate in a round of battle is five, however, some libraries may choose to have larger teams and rotate which members participate in the different rounds of the battle.

You must read five books to participate. When you register, you will be given all five books (to keep). Practices start in September, so you will have all summer to read them.

Grades four through six will read "Because of Mr. Terupt;" "Bud, Not Buddy;" "Cracker!;" "Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library;" and "Gregor the Overlander." Grades six through nine will read "How They Croaked;" "Hold Me Closer, Necromancer;" "Legend;" "Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children;" and "Okay for Now."

The winning teams' libraries will get trophies to display until the next battle, and all participating students will receive a certificate.

The battle will be on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015 (times and location to be announced). To join the team, see the youth services librarian, Erin or Jessica.
