Two newly released films from Israel will show at the JCC, 999 Wilmot Road, Scarsdale, and two will show at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, 2548 Central Park Ave, Yonkers.
The following is the schedule of movies to be shown at the film festival:
Opening Night: "Operation Sunflower," directed by Avraham Kushner, Thursday, June 12 at 7:30 p.m., at the JCC.
"Hunting Elephants:" Directed by Reshef Lev, premieres Sunday, June 15 at 3 p.m., at the JCC.
"Kidon:" Directed by Emmanuel Naccache will be shown at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, Monday, June 16 at 7:30 p.m.
"Farewell, Herr Schwarz," A documentary directed by Yael Reuveny, opens Tuesday, June 17, 7:30 p.m. at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema.
Admission is $20 for Thursday, June 12 Opening Night with post-screening reception; $14 for Sunday, June 15, Monday, June 16 and Tuesday, June 17, or $11 for Community Partners. Purchase tickets at www.jccmw.org or the JCC front desk.
The Westchester films are presented by a consortium of community groups, including Temple Israel Center, AJC Westchester, Bet Am Shalom Synagogue, Westchester Jewish Council, Solomon Schechter School of Westchester, Congregation Emanu-El of Westchester, and Hebrew Institute in White Plains and the JCC of Mid-Westchester.
