Eastchester High School Hosts Dancing With 'Our' Stars, Cupcake Wars

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Eastchester High School sophomore class will sponsor the tenth annual Dancing with "Our" Stars and sixth annual Cupcake Wars on Friday.

These events will raise funds for cancer support group Gilda's Club of Westchester.

Eighteen teacher/student and student/student pairs will compete in a dance competition.

Irish Step Dancers from the Hendry School of Irish Dance and a group of EMS teachers will also give special performances.

Martine's Bakery and Chantilly Bakery will judge cupcakes made by staff and teachers across the district.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for Cupcake Wars. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Admission is $10.

Participants will have a chance to win concert tickets, sporting event passes and other raffle prizes.

The Devir Family will crochet and sew 200 hats for sale at $20 each. Proceeds will go to Gilda's, and hats will be given to chemotherapy patients. Hats can be made in honor of a cancer survivor or loved one. A wall of donors will be displayed that evening.
