BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - The Concordia College baseball and softball program will hold their annual alumni games along with a Team Adriana fundraiser Sunday, Oct. 11 starting at 10:30 a.m. at Concordia College, 171 White Plains Road, Bronxville.
Both the baseball and softball games will begin at noon. The baseball program’s barbecue will start at 12:30 p.m. and the softball pizza party will begin at 2 p.m.
The softball team will be shaving the heads of the baseball team at 10:30 a.m. in support of Team Adriana. Adriana is Mike Aviles’ 4-year-old daughter who was diagnosed with leukemia in May and who has been undergoing treatment at Cleveland Clinic. Aviles is a 2003 graduate of Concordia who currently plays professional baseball for the Cleveland Indians and was the 2003 NCAA Division II Player of the Year.
T-Shirts will also be available to purchase for $20 and wristbands are $2. All proceeds will be made in Adriana’s name to the research fund chosen by the Aviles Family.
