The organization, based in Bronxville, provides music and theater education to children from portions of Westchester County and the Bronx.

Broadway to Bronxville, held Monday, April 20, also honored the Rev. Michael A. Bird.

Bird, the rector of Christ Church Bronxville, helped start Young at Arts in 2005.

All proceeds from the evening went to funding the program costs of young people whose families are unable to afford the cost of music and theater education.

Over 100 Young at Arts students attended the event, along with organization founder Sharyn Pirtle and a variety of local volunteers and performing artists.
