Bronxville's Concordia College Presents BNY Mellon Exhibition

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. –  The OSilas Gallery at Concordia College-New York is hosting the “The Business of Art: Selections from the Collection of BNY Mellon” exhibition from Thursday, Feb. 12 to Wednesday, April 1.

The exhibition highlights selections from BNY Mellon’s collection of British watercolors, 19th-century American paintings and international contemporary art, and includes work by John Constable, William Bradford and Jasper Johns.

The opening reception for the exhibition will be held on Thursday, Feb. 12 at 7 p.m., and will feature “Corporate Collecting: A Business Case for Art” presented by Brian Lang, curator of BNY Mellon’s corporate art collection.

To discuss the critical points of acquiring and transferring art, a panel discussion titled “The Business of Art” is scheduled for Thursday, March 26 at 7 p.m. Moderated by Elizabeth von Habsburg of the Winston Art Group, the panelists include contemporary gallery owner Kenise Barnes, interior designer Patricia O’Shaughnessy, BNY Mellon wealth management investment tax specialist Jere Doyle, and BNY Mellon Curator Brian Lang.
