Seventy years after World War II ended, Eisenhower – the only grandson of President Dwight D. Eisenhower and son-in-law of President Richard Nixon – will give insights into the role his grandfather played as a general commanding Allied forces in the war.
His book, “Eisenhower: At War, 1943-1945,” was both a New York Times bestseller and a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in history. He is also the co-author, with his wife, Julie Nixon Eisenhower, of “Going Home to Glory,” a memoir of life with his grandfather during the post-presidential years.
Eisenhower has been a director of the Institute for Public Service at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. He has also co- chaired the Foreign Policy Research Institute’s Teaching Institute. He received the Provost’s Award for excellence in university teaching in 2003. He has lectured widely to audiences across the country on the presidency, foreign relations and World War II.
