BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. –Presidential candidate and real estate mogul Donald Trump, who owns an estate in Bedford, is looking to slash the property taxes on Trump National Golf Club in Briarcliff Manor by 90 percent, reports LoHud .
Property taxes on the 140-acre golf club would drop from $471,000 to $47,000; the neighbors would pick up the $424,000 tab leftover, according to the report.
The club was taxed at $35 million when Trump purchased the property and rebuilt the course; currently the club is taxed on $13.5 million in value. Jeff Rodner, Trump National attorney, says the property is now worth $1.4 million, according to LoHud.
