BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Bronxville resident Tad Smith will leave his position as CEO of Madison Square Garden Co. to become the top executive at Sotheby's, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Smith, who became MSG's CEO last year, will take over his new role with the auction house on March 31. He takes over for William Ruprecht, who announced his plans to step down last year, The Wall Street Journal reported.
Executive Chairman James Dolan will oversee MSG until a successor is found, The Wall Street Journal said.
