What the heck does fundraising have to do with policy? I know of a few soup kitchens in the country who accept donations from corporations too. What an idiotic proposition...if you care about the non-wealthy, you cannot ask the wealth to assist in any way.

Name ONE SINGLE METRIC....Bank bailouts, home foreclosures, factory layoffs, unemployment rate, job growth, money spent on foreign wars, dead US troops overseas, dead from domestic terror attacks, economic growth, rebounded housing market, stock market, rebounded US industries (ESPECIALLY the auto industry), domestic energy production.....etc. that ISN'T BETTER under Obama?
You won't name a single one, but I'll bet you'll give some "anecdotal" "facts" about how people (who hate the president no matter what anyway) "feel" about the state of things.
You have some emails (about what? exactly) to chase around, and the perpetually dysfunctional Middle-East to whine about. Yes, those affect everyday Americans. I know Syria and Libya affect me and my family.
Of all the days to have fireworks - which sounds like artillery fire and bombs to Vets and civilians - Memorial Day is NOT one of them. This was a selfish, thoughtless action by the club. I am very surprised and disappointed their board did not think this through.
